United States-based Startup Breeze Airways has revealed its route network with the tickets now on sale for as low as $39. The airline’s very first flight will be on 27th May 2021 with the Embraer E190 aircraft.
Breeze is a leisure airline that is focusing primarily on point-to-point routes in underserved markets. The airline claims that 95% of its routes are not currently served nonstop by other airlines. Below is a route map of America’s newest airline:
As you can see from the route map, Breeze is heavily focusing on the East Coast and Southeastern coast. The carrier will initially have 4 focus cities:
- Tampa, Florida
- New Orleans, Louisiana
- Charleston, South Carolina
- Norfolk, Virginia
Routes revealed
From Tampa, Breeze will serve a total of 10 destinations. They are:
- Charleston, SC (starting 27th May)
- Louisville, KY (starting 28th May)
- Tulsa, OK (starting 4th June)
- Norfolk, VA (starting 10th June)
- Bentonville/Fayetteville, AR (starting 17th June)
- Akron/Canton, OH (starting 26th June)
- Oklahoma City, OK (starting 1st July)
- Columbus, OH (starting 3rd July)
- Huntsville, AL (starting 22nd July)
- Richmond, VA (starting 22nd July)
From Charleston, Breeze will operate to 11 destinations. They are:
- Hartford, CT (starting 27th May)
- Tampa, FL (starting 27th May)
- Louisville, KY (starting 27ty May)
- Norfolk, VA (starting 10th June)
- Akron/Canton, OH (starting 8th July)
- Columbus, OH (starting 8th July)

From Norfolk, Breeze will have flights to 7 destinations. They are:

From New Orleans, Breeze will operate flights to 10 destinations. They are:
- Charleston, SC (starting 8th July)
- Akron/Canton, OH (starting 15th July)
- Bentonville/Fayetteville, AR (starting 15th July)
- Huntsville, AL (starting 15th July)
- Louisville, KY (starting 15th July)
- Norfolk, VA (starting 15th July)
- Oklahoma, OK (starting 15th July)
- Richmond, VA (starting 15th July)
- Tulsa, OK (starting 15th July)
- Columbus, OH (starting 16th July)
Finally, Breeze will operate flights between:
- Bentonville/Fayetteville, AR, and San Antonio, TX (starting 15th July)
- San Antonio, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK (starting 15th July)
- Tulsa, OK, and San Antonio, TX (starting 15th July)
- Hartford, CT, and Columbus, OH (starting 22nd July)
- Pittsburgh, PA, and Hartford, CT (starting 22nd July)
- Providence, RI, and Pittsburgh, PA (starting 29th July)
Fare options
Fares will start at $39 on the routes and come in two categories initially : ‘Nicer’ and ‘Nicest’.
‘Nice’ fares include:
- Complimentary personal item, like a backpack or purse
- Passengers can pay extra to assign a seat or check bags
- Passengers can carry on their bags or get checked them for $20 each (up to 3 pieces) and seats can be assigned for as low as $10
‘Nicer’ fares include:
- A personal item, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, a complimentary drink and snack, and priority boarding
- Onboard selections of snacks will include items from Utz and KIND
When the airline takes the delivery of its Airbus A220 aircrafts, it will also include a 3rd category of seats called the ‘Nicest’ cabin. This category will be absent on Embraer E190s.
BreezePoints
Breeze will reward travelers with “BreezePoints.” Those booking a ‘Nice’ fare earn BreezePoints worth 2% of their fare, while those booking a ‘Nicer’ fare earn BreezePoints worth 4% of their fare.
These points can be used towards future flights or ancillary products, like bags or seat assignments.
Fleet and Inflight experience
Breeze will initially operate a fleet of 13 Embraer aircrafts. Out of 13, 10 will be E190s featuring 108 seats and 3 will be E195s having 118 seats. These Embraer aircraft will have a 2-2 configuration, meaning no middle seat will be present. Passengers can choose from ‘Nice’ seats (standard seats with 29-31 inches of pitch) or ‘Nicer’ seats (33-39 inches of pitch). Breeze won’t have Wi-Fi on these planes, but will have streaming entertainment powered by Global Eagle. The airline’s Embraer aircrafts will perform flights that are under 2 hours.
In October 2021, Breeze will get its first Airbus A220. The airline has ordered a total of 60 of them. We should expect roughly one new A220 every month for the next five years. The airline will install in flight entertainment and WiFi on these planes. As aforementioned, A220s will include a premium cabin, called ‘Nicest’, which will be in the front of the plane and in a 2-2 configuration (rather than the 2-3 configuration in economy). These aircrafts will operate flights longer than 2 hours.

Breeze Airways is founded by David Neeleman, who is also the CEO of the airline and who is also the same person who founded JetBlue. Breeze provides nonstop service between underserved routes across the U.S. at affordable fares. The airline currently has 4 Embraer E190 aircrafts with 12 yet to be delivered while it also has 2 E195 aircrafts with 28 undelivered. Breeze has also ordered 80 Airbus A220-300s of which the deliveries will start in October 2021.
