flydubai announces flights to Greece and Egypt

flydubai has announced new seasonal flights to Mykonos and Santorini in Greece and year-round flights to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.

Mykonos and Santorini

flydubai will operate Summer seasonal flights from Dubai International Airport between 18th June 2021 and 29th September 2021. The flight will operate as Dubai-Mykonos-Santorini-Dubai. The flight schedule is:

  • Dubai-Mykonos
  • Departure time: 10:00
  • Arrival time: 13:50
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 50 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1815
  • Frequency: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  • Mykonos-Santorini
  • Departure time: 14:40
  • Arrival time: 15:30
  • Flight time: 50 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1815
  • Frequency: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  • Santorini-Dubai
  • Departure time: 16:20
  • Arrival time: 22:00
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1815
  • Frequency: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays

Flights to Santorini and Mykonos will be operated by a Boeing B737MAX-9. Dubai-based Emirates recently announced fifth freedom flights from Athens, Greece to Newark.

Demand for travel has started to increase as more countries gradually lift restrictions on international travel. The UAE has recently added Bahrain, Greece and Serbia to the safe travel list which has encouraged more people to start planning their summer holidays. Mykonos and Santorini will be popular choices for travel from the UAE and GCC.

Whether flying in Business or Economy Class or opting to purchase a flexible holiday package that includes flights, hotels stay and other add ons, flydubai is committed to making travel this summer more flexible and a little less stressful.

flydubai will restart its operations to Batumi in Georgia and Tivat in Montenegro from 25th June from its hub at Dubai. Flights to Bodrum in Turkey has started from 4th June and service to Trabzon in Turkey will commence from 24th June.

Sharm El Sheikh

Starting 15th June 2021, the Dubai-based carrier will start flying to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. The route will become flydubai’s 2nd destination in Egypt alongside Alexandria. The flight schedule is:

  • Dubai-Sharm El Sheikh
  • Departure time: 16:45
  • Arrival time: 18:15
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ139
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays And Sundays
  • Sharm El Sheikh-Dubai
  • Departure time: 19:15
  • Arrival time: 00:35 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 20 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ140
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays And Sundays

This service will be operated by a Boeing B737-800 aircraft.
