ITC Hotels opens WelcomHotel Tavleen Chail in Himachal Pradesh

ITC Hotels has announced the opening of WelcomHotel’s latest hotel, WelcomHotel Tavleen Chail in the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This is the 2nd WelcomHotel to open in the state after WelcomHotel Shimla.

Location

Located in the Shivalik region of Himachal Pradesh, Welcomhotel Tavleen Chail is set in the heart of a beautiful hill station that is 37 kilometres from Shimla via Kufri. The closest airport is Chandigarh (120 kilometres away), and Delhi is an 8 hour drive. Spread across three hills – Rajgarh, Sadh Tiba and Pandewa – the Chail region overlooks the stunning valley of Sultej, offering panoramic views of the countryside and Shimla.

Spread over 6.5 acres of woodland and nestled amidst oak & pine forests, the resort offers glorious views of the Himalayan peaks.

Accommodations

The hotel consists of 65 elegantly appointed guest rooms, including 18 fairytale cottages and a luxury suite. Each accommodation comes with a private sit-out with breathtaking, panoramic views of the pristine mountains and the Shivalik Range. Set amid a magical oak forest, the cottages are ideal for those seeking their ‘very own cabin in the woods’.

Dining

WelcomCafe Monal is an all-day dining restaurant that serves the best of international, Indian and local Himachali cuisine. The traditional Welcomsthalika serves an assortment of authentic regional dishes on a platter. The ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced, supporting the farming community of the neighbourhood.

Swizzle is the hotel’s intimate bar that offers a large selection of premium beverages and inventive mixology paired with delectable snacks.

Facilities

WelcomHotel Tavleen Chail offers a host of activities. Guests can head over to K by Kaya Kalp Spa and indulge in a range of therapies including eclectic massages, beauty treatments and more. The 24/7 gym features state-of-the-art equipment to keep you fit and fabulous.

A temperature controlled indoor swimming pool with a splendid panoramic view of the mountains and on-premise meditation centre on the hill top are present at the hotel.

Additionally, guests can indulge in engaging excursions at our outdoor recreation centre – Cubs Corner – with captivating activities such as archery and canvas painting or spend exhilarating moments indoors absorbed with a variety of arcade games and a pool table. Children may enjoy an outdoor and indoor
play area – Ollies Corner – creatively designed specially for them.

On-site adventure trails are available such as Oak Trail and Pine Trail. Furthermore, there are 2 event venues named Regalia and Imperia. While Regalia offers 200 square meters of event space, Imperia is on the shorter side offering 78 square meters of event space.

In addition to the above-mentioned facilities, the hotel provides a doctor on call, laundry, extra bed, 24-hour in-room dining, travel desk services, including airport/ railway station transfers and ticket bookings on a chargeable basis.

In March 2021, the chain opened its 2nd hotel in Gujarat, WelcomHotel Ahmedabad. With the addition of the premier mountain resort at Chail, the Welcomhotel brand currently boasts a portfolio of 19 properties across India.
