Bhavnagar Airport
Bhavnagar Airport is an airport located approximately 4 kilometres southeast of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The airport has one runway, oriented 07/25. It has a single terminal building, which covers 1,617 square metres (17,410 sq ft) and has a capacity for 110 passengers. The airport can handle aircrafts such as Boeing B737 and Airbus A320.
The airport currently handles only one daily ATR72 flight which is operated by Alliance, Air India’s regional subsidiary, to Mumbai. While SpiceJet will compete with Alliance Air on Mumbai route, it will have a monopoly on Delhi route.
Bhavnagar is Gujarat’s fifth largest city by population. The city is located near the Gulf of Khambhat in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat.

SpiceJet’s Gujarat expansion
With the addition of Bhavnagar, SpiceJet will now serve six cities in Gujarat. These include Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Kandla and Porbandar.

At Rajkot, the airline started flights after the collapse of Jet Airways. It flies to Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru (remains suspended for now, but scheduled to resume from 1st September), Goa and Hyderabad.
Ahmedabad is a focus city for SpiceJet while it operates multiple flights from Surat.
Meanwhile, SpiceJet recently announced 42 new domestic and international flights including flights to Maldives as the country is now welcoming travellers from India.
