Emirates and Aeromar have announced that they have entered into an interline partnership, providing connectivity for passengers between destinations in Mexico and United States via Mexico City to Emirates’ network.
Through this interline partnership, travellers will now be able to book tickets to fly to and from 12 destinations in Mexico and the United States covered by the interline agreement via Mexico City, connecting to Emirates’ flights EK 256/255 between Mexico City, Barcelona and Dubai. Travellers can then connect to all the destinations in Emirates’ network.
The advantage is that the interline agreement allows passengers the convenience of booking their entire journey on a single ticket with uniform baggage policy and fare conditions.

The destinations in Mexico covered by the interline partnership between Emirates and Aeromar include Acapulco, Veracruz, Puerto Escondido, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Ixtepec, Colima, Ciudad Victoria, Lazaro Cardenas, Piedras Negras and Tepic. The agreement also covers Aeromar´s destinations in the United States, Laredo and McAllen, Texas.
In addition to the connectivity enabled by the partnership with Aeromar, Emirates already offers travellers the choice of flying to and from over 10 destinations in Mexico through existing partnerships with other airlines.
Emirates resumed flying to Mexico City from Dubai via Barcelona on 2nd July 2021. The Dubai-based carrier operates 4-weekly flights by a Boeing B777 aircraft.
Founded in 1987, AEROMAR is Mexico’s most experienced regional airline. Based in Mexico City, it serves a network of 19 domestic routes and 4 international routes to Texas, United States (Laredo and McAllen) with a fleet of 10 ATR 42 and 72 aircraft, of which nine are new generation series – 600.
Meanwhile, Emirates recently launched a new account-based payment system called ‘Emirates Pay’. The airline has also reopened on its dedicated First Class lounge at Dubai International Airport and has launched an all-new airport service at Dubai International Airport to assist passengers more better. The carrier has launched flights to Miami, Florida making it the airline’s 12th destination in the United States.
