Emirates and London Heathrow have issued a joint statement stating that they have reached an agreement regarding the passenger capacity cap which London Heathrow has put into place.
Emirates had earlier issued a statement regarding the passenger capacity cap at London Heathrow Airport. The airline said that it is “rejecting” Heathrow’s “unacceptable” capacity cap. To read the full statement issued by Emirates, click here.
Now, the airline has issued a joint statement with London Heathrow Airport. Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates and the CEO of Heathrow Airport “held a constructive meeting” yesterday morning (15th July 2022). The Dubai-based airline agreed that it is “ready and willing to work with the airport to remediate the situation over the next 2 weeks, to keep demand and capacity in balance and provide passengers with a smooth and reliable journey through Heathrow this summer”.

The airline says that it has capped further sales on its flights out of Heathrow until mid-August to assist Heathrow in its resource ramp up, and is working to adjust capacity.
Emirates has also given assurance that in the meantime, its flights out of London Heathrow will operate as scheduled and ticketed passengers may travel as booked.
