Duxton Reserve Singapore is owned by The Garcha Group and was created from 8 sustainably restored 19th century shophouses, fitting with the Autograph Collection’s emphasis on ‘neighbourhood’ and ‘sense of place’.

Located in the historic Tanjong Pagar district and in the heart of Chinatown, the hotel is surrounded by attractions including the National Museum of Singapore and Asian Civilisations Museum. In addition to multiple attractions, the area also boasts the highest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants in the city.

Renowned British interior designer Anouska Hempel was at the helm of the design, drawing inspiration from Chinese, Malay and European cultures. Upon entering the hotel, guests are welcomed by large theatrical golden fans and strong hues of black, gold and yellow, layered with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper from Hempel’s personal collection.

The 49 rooms and suites are “each designed with unique individuality for an exclusive experience every time” and feature amenities including a Naturalmat organic mattress, organic cotton bed linen by Beaumont and Brown and bathroom amenities by Etro.

Guests can dine at a modern Chinese restaurant led by chef Sebastian Goh. Yellow Pot “follows the clean eating philosophy” and does not include MSG, additives or artificial flavourings in the dishes. The glamorous bar Anouska’s is described as “an ode to Bond girl turned interior designer” and serves the actress’ favourite drinks from around the world spanning the disco era of the 70s and 80s.

Guests can also take part in a signature perfume workshop at Maison 21G, a local bespoke perfumery next to the hotel. Those staying at the hotel can recreate the property’s signature scent Garcha – a blend of amber, oud, patchouli and ginger – and bring it home with them.

“We are thrilled to continue to grow our presence in Singapore and introduce Autograph Collection Hotels to the country with the opening of Duxton Reserve Singapore. The opening marks the entry of Marriott International’s 11th brand into Singapore and further complements our growing footprint in the country.”

said Rivero Delgado, Area Vice President, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Marriott International.

“Singapore is one of the most important cultural hubs in Asia-Pacific, with a rich history and exciting local culinary scene. Guests staying at Duxton Reserve Singapore will be immersed in this experience through the unique design and excellent F&B offerings.”

said Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific (excluding China), Marriott International.

Since launching in 2010, the Autograph Collection has grown to include over 200 hotels around the world.
