Following the opening of the first MGallery hotel in Split, Accor has announced that it will open its first Mövenpick hotel in Croatia.
Accor, in partnership with Split Peninsula Properties d.o.o and MPPD d.o.o development team, will introduce another premium brand in tourists-favourite city of Split. The new Mövenpick Split will offer 156 exquisite and comfortable guest rooms with sea view, two restaurants and spa centre in addition to an innovative work-space and conference facility.
The hotel will also have 110 under and above ground parking with many electric car charging stations. The crown jewel of Mövenpick Split will be the one-of-a-kind rooftop restaurant, lounge and infinity pool deck that will be a first of its kind in Split and Dalmatia. Mövenpick Split will open its doors on Znjan beach, one of the most famous Split locations in Q2 of 2023.

The design of new Mövenpick Split will be done by local award – Architect Alan Plestina of Pulsar Arhitektura in collaboration with Accor’s Design & Technical Services team. Plestina was responsible for many of Croatia’s most exciting projects including Arena Centar Shopping complex and the Arena Centar Sports hall which both won international awards for Design. The hotel design is modern yet cosy, luxurious yet approachable, a perfect design for the vibrant Split Market.

For the Rooftop design, Mövenpick Split has partnered with internationally famous and award-winning Kristina Zanic Designs out of Dubai, having world-wide experience creating spaces in the top tourist destinations globally. Kristina and team has created a design focused all day experience where the hotel will be able to showcase the best in healthy Mediterranean cuisine. Using deep coastal colours, and the famous dalmatian sunset as their inspiration resulted with a restaurant bar unlike anything else in the region.

Meanwhile, Accor recently announced the signing of its sixth resort in the Maldives, SO/ Maldives and three new hotels in the United Kingdom and the opening of Mercure Rhodes Alexia, Mercure’s debut property in Greece and ibis Styles Kraków Centrum in Poland. The iconic Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles will reopen as a Fairmont Hotel on 27th September 2021.
