Ryanair is continuing to expand from Edinburgh, the capital of Ireland. The airline has announced that it will be adding a new route to Morocco this December.
Starting 18th December 2021, Ryanair will operate twice-weekly flights between Edinburgh International Airport and Marrakesh Menara Airport.
The schedule for flights which will run on Wednesdays is:
- Edinburgh-Marrakesh
- Departure time: 15:10
- Arrival time: 20:10
- Flight time: 4 hours
- Flight number: RK514
- Marrakesh-Edinburgh
- Departure time: 20:35
- Arrival time: 23:35
- Flight time: 4 hours
- Flight number: RK515

The schedule for flights which will run on Saturdays is:
- Edinburgh-Marrakesh
- Departure time: 06:00
- Arrival time: 11:00
- Flight time: 4 hours
- Flight number: RK514
- Marrakesh-Edinburgh
- Departure time: 11:25
- Arrival time: 14:25
- Flight time: 4 hours
- Flight number: RK514
Kate Sherry, Aviation Director, Edinburgh Airport, said:
Marrakesh has been a destination many people have asked for and we are happy to now be in a position to say that ‘Yes, you Morro-can fly from Edinburgh! We are always looking to widen our connections and ensure Edinburgh and Scotland is targeting sustainable growth opportunities as we continue our recovery. Retaining our connectivity is so important and we have to be flexible in our approach to keep Scotland competitive and offer choice for both leisure and business markets.
The new route takes the total number of new Ryanair routes from Edinburgh for 2021 to 9.
The announcement comes after Ryanair recently added flights from Edinburgh to Paris, Madrid and Palermo, all of which are scheduled to begin in November 2021.
Meanwhile, Ryanair recently announced a new base at Venice Marco Polo Airport.
