Emirates to operate double daily flights to Seychelles during the holiday season

Emirates has announced that it will operate double daily flights to Mahe, Seychelles during the holiday season in order to serve the increased demand.

Between 24th December 2021 and 9th January 2022 (except on 29th and 30th December 2021), Emirates will operate double-daily flights to the island country of Seychelles. The airline presently operates a daily flight to Mahé, the capital city of Seychelles, which operates with the following schedule:

  • Dubai-Mahé
  • Departure time: 02:25
  • Arrival time: 06:50
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 25 minutes
  • Flight number: EK705
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Mahé-Dubai
  • Departure time: 23:50
  • Arrival time: 04:20 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: EK708
  • Frequency: Daily

As aforementioned, the Dubai-based airline will operate double-daily flights to Seychelles between 24th December 2021 and 9th January 2022 (except on 29th and 30th December 2021) with the following schedule:

  • Dubai-Mahé
  • Departure time: 10:20
  • Arrival time: 14:55
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 35 minutes
  • Flight number: EK707
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Mahé-Dubai
  • Departure time: 08:35
  • Arrival time: 13:10
  • Flight time: 4 hours and 35 minutes
  • Flight number: EK706
  • Frequency: Daily

Additionally, the carrier will operate 10-weekly flights to Seychelles starting 10th January 2022 with additional flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Emirates says that the second daily service will boost tourism to the popular Indian Ocean destination this winter holiday, especially from popular inbound markets including France, Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, United States, United Arab Emirates, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this year, Emirates renewed its commitment to Seychelles by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Seychelles Tourism Board at Expo 2020. The agreement reaffirms the airline’s commitment to the island-nation, and outlines various initiatives to promote trade and tourism to the country.

Meanwhile, Emirates recently announced plans to reopen lounges at 4 airports in the United Kingdom.
