Wizz Air to launch flights to Dammam, Saudi Arabia from Rome, Vienna and Abu Dhabi

Wizz Air has announced that it will launch flights to Dammam in Saudi Arabia.

Starting 28th September 2022, Wizz Air will operate 2-flights-a-week on Wednesdays and Sundays between Rome and Dammam. Just 2 days after that, the Ultra low-cost carrier will launch 2-weekly flights between Vienna and Dammam that will run on Mondays and Fridays.

And on 1st November 2022, the airline will launch 4-weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Dammam. These flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will be operated by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.

All of these flights will be operated by Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Last month, Wizz Air signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Investment for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supported by the Saudi National Air Connectivity Programme (a Ministry of Tourism initiative) to support the development of the Saudi Tourism Sector. The MoU reflects a shared vision between the parties on the potential Wizz Air could bring to the Kingdom to stimulate tourist demand, thereby making a significant contribution to Saudi Arabia’s planned growth.

Khalil Lamrabet, CEO of The Air Connectivity Program, said:

Dammam, a modern metropolis nestled on the tranquil Arabian Gulf, offers visitors green parks, airy waterfronts, and sandy beaches alongside a bustling arts, sports, and entertainment scene.
