Fairmont Udaipur Palace will have a unique location along a hillside, with an exclusive access to the forest reserve. The property will be spread over 16 acres of land, offering guests an unparalleled view of the city.

With the aim to provide unforgettable experiences, Fairmont’s distinctive collection of unrivalled hotels reflects our belief in giving world-class service to guests who appreciate unique locations. The hotel will feature 340 guest rooms and suites with over 100,000 sq.ft of banqueting and events space, a variety of outdoor venues, recreational spaces, dining facilities and Fairmont’s signature Spa, offering luxurious one-of-a-kind holistic wellness experiences.

said Somesh Agarwal, Keystone Resorts Pvt Ltd (a real estate development company with which Accor has partnered with for this hotel).

The signing of the project further strengthens Accor’s already dominant position in India, with its existing 56 properties across a selection of brands, including Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis and ibis Styles. Accor will open 6 more properties in India in the coming year.

Udaipur is rapidly becoming a crowded market

In the past few years, Udaipur has been a focus city for luxury hotel brands. The city of lakes, as it is famously known, is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Rajasthan and the whole of India.

Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, one of the best hotel groups in the world, has two luxury resorts in Udaipur – Oberoi Udaivilas Resort and Spa and Trident Udaipur. Taj Hotels has 3 hotels in the city – Taj Lake Palace, Taj Fateh Prakash Palace and Taj Aravali Resort and Spa. Leela Hotels and Resorts manages The Leela Palace Udaipur. Accor itself opened India’s first Raffles in Udaipur last year.

Upcoming luxury hotels in Udaipur include Marriott’s JW Marriott Udaipur Resort and Spa, Hyatt’s Hyatt Regency Udaipur and ITC’s Momentos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur.

Accor will also open a Raffles property in Jaipur sometime soon. So that will mean that both Udaipur and Jaipur will each have a Fairmont and Raffles property.
