We are delighted to be bringing Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy to India, providing our guests with a unique selection of the most exceptional and magnificent homes in the market. We have been looking at the Indian market for a long time, thanks to the potential it offers in the travel and housing sectors. Luxury private home rentals are the topmost choice for affluent travelers in India given the ease, bespoke experiences and facilities they offer. They have become popular recently as people want to enjoy their travels no holds barred. These are spaces not only for people to spend quality time with their loved ones but also facilitate remote working for professionals. Marriott International works meticulously with selected professional property management groups to craft the ultimate experience.
said Jennifer Hsieh, Vice President, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.
These homes and villas will be professionally managed and will be fully furnished.
Taj and StayVista get international competition
Until now, the homes and villas space in India was majorly dominated by domestic players such as IHCL’s ama Stays and Trails and small emerging players such as StayVista. The arrival of Homes and Villas by Marriott Bonvoy will give some fresh competition to these already established market players.
What gives an advantage to Homes and Villas is that it comes with the tag of “Marriott” attached along with it. What I mean to say is that there is a sense of “trust” with an international brand like Marriott.
Although that is true, the Home and Villa rental market is still growing in India. Marriott might have a hard time establishing the new brand in India, but once it gains the trust and loyalty of customers, there’s no looking back as the hospitality landscape in India is continuing to evolve and addition of this type of stay option will certainly be adapted by Indians overtime, if not sooner.
Meanwhile, Marriott recently announced the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Navi Mumbai.
