Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines has announced its next destination in the United States – San Francisco.
Starting 16th December 2023, STARLUX Airlines will operate 3-flights-a-week between Taipei and San Francisco with the following schedule:
- Taipei-San Francisco
- Departure time: 23:30
- Arrival time: 18:15
- Flight time: 10 hours and 45 minutes
- Flight number: JX12
- Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
- San Francisco-Taipei
- Departure time: 23:40
- Arrival time: 05:30 (+2 days)
- Flight time: 13 hours and 50 minutes
- Flight number: JX11
- Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Flights will be ramped up to daily as of 31st March 2024. The airline also recently increased flights to Los Angeles to daily.
These flights will be operated by STARLUX’s flagship aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, featuring 4 First Class seats, 26 Business Class seats, 36 Premium Economy seats and 240 standard Economy Class seats.

To celebrate the launch of new San Francisco route, STARLUX Airlines has partnered with Sony, a leading figure in the audiovisual industry. From 16th December 2023 until 31st December 2023, all First-Class passengers traveling from Taipei to San Francisco will receive a pair of Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless noise-canceling headphones.
First and Business Class seats offer individual sliding doors and seats with a Zero G mode to alleviate travel fatigue. Premium Economy provides spacious seats with footrests while Economy features adequate legroom along with 4K high-definition screens along with the option to connect personal Bluetooth headphones.
