ITC Hotels has opened its second ever Mementos hotel, this time in Jaipur. While the first property in Udaipur is more expansive, this new offering from the brand is equally impressive. Let’s take a look in detail.
A “Private Jaipur”
Located near the Kukas area in Jaipur, Mementos by ITC Hotels “makes you feel like you are the only one there”. It is located at a distance of 28 kilometres from Jaipur International Airport while Jaipur Junction Railway Station is 22 kilometres away.

Spread over 12 acres, the resort’s design is an ode to Jaipur’s rich heritage of art and culture. The Mughal-inspired gardens are a perfect place to spend a relaxing evening, with company of the majestic peacocks.
The resort features 64 suites and villas, spread across five categories. The guest rooms have Rajputana design with four-poster beds (in some rooms), Jharokha-shaped windows with day beds and Thikri artwork.

The Mementos Pool Suite features a plunge pool with outdoor patio area while the Royal Villa features Thikri-adorned bathroom and two private sit outs with view of the landscaped gardens and manicured lawns.

Mementos by ITC Hotels Jaipur features two dining venues. Amber Pavilion is a multi-cuisine dining restaurant that features a diverse menu while Mayur – the exclusive lounge – serves refreshing beverages and inventive concoctions amidst refined elegance along with finger food.

Facilities at the resort include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa and two banqueting spaces.
Thoughts
Mementos by ITC Hotels seems to be a very good offering from the newer Mementos brand, yet again. The first-ever property of the brand in Udaipur has set very high standards for the brand and this new property in Jaipur seems like an extension of the same.
Mementos, as a brand, is very interesting, in the sense that it is not positioning itself as a boutique or a niche brand but rather as a brand which has expansive properties in its portfolio with a focus on maintaining quality and service standards. One thing which I have noticed is how well has the brand adapted to the surroundings in which it is present. Since the first two properties are in Rajasthan, it will be interesting to see how this carries on with its Shimla property.
The Jaipur property seems to be a very solid offering. I don’t know if I am the only one but the rooms resemble those at Oberoi Rajvilas. This is not at all a bad thing but in fact a good thing, in the sense that the newer properties are also coming with such great interiors.
Jaipur is one of the hottest hospitality markets right now in India, with international brands debuting in India with a property in Jaipur. Hilton’s luxury brand Waldorf Astoria recently announced the signing of a property in Jaipur, its first in India while Minor Hotels’ Anantara brand also announced a new resort in the Pink City. Marriott is also expected to open a W Hotel and a Ritz Carlton in the city. Also, Accor is expected to open a Raffles resort this year just beside the Fairmont Jaipur.
