Air India will launch flights between Bengaluru and London Gatwick. This will make Bengaluru the fifth Indian city to be served from London Gatwick Airport which is the second largest airport in the United Kingdom.
Air India Bengaluru-London Gatwick
Starting 18th August 2024, Air India will operate 5-flights-a-week between Bengaluru and London Gatwick, thus taking the total count of flights to and from London Gatwick to 17-flights-a-week. These flights will be operated by the airlineโs Boeing B787-8 Dreamliners as per the following schedule:
- Bengaluru-London Gatwick
- Departure time: 13:05
- Arrival time: 19:05
- Flight time: 10 hours and 30 minutes
- Flight number: AI177
- Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays
- London Gatwick-Bengaluru
- Departure time: 20:35
- Arrival time: 10:50 (the next day)
- Flight time: 9 hours and 45 minutes
- Flight number: AI178
- Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays

Air India currently operates flights to London Gatwick from four Indian cities namely Ahmedabad, Goa, Amritsar and Kochi. Additionally, it operates 31-flights-a-week to London Heathrow and 6-flights-a-week to Birmingham.
