Finnair to resume flights to Bergen and Tromsø in Norway in partnership with Widerøe

Finnair has announced that it will start flying to Bergen and Tromsø in Norway in December 2021.

Starting 14th December 2021, Finnair will operate 3-weekly flights between Helsinki Airport and Tromsø Airport. And as of 15th December 2021, the airline will operate 3-weekly flights between Helsinki Airport and Bergen Airport. In the summer schedule, Finnair will ramp up the frequency of flights to Bergen to daily.

The flight schedule of Helsinki-Tromsø-Helsinki route is:

  • Helsinki-Tromsø
  • Departure time: 16:05
  • Arrival time: 17:25
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 20 minutes
  • Flight number: AY945
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
  • Tromsø-Helsinki
  • Departure time: 11:50
  • Arrival time: 15:10
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 20 minutes
  • Flight number: AY946
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

The flight schedule of Helsinki-Bergen-Helsinki route is:

  • Helsinki-Bergen
  • Departure time: 16:05
  • Arrival time: 17:20
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 15 minutes
  • Flight number: AY941
  • Frequency: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (daily from 27th March 2022)
  • Bergen-Helsinki
  • Departure time: 12:15
  • Arrival time: 15:30
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 15 minutes
  • Flight number: AY942
  • Frequency: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (daily from 27th March 2022)

The routes will be operated by Norwegian regional airline Widerøe, and the flights are sold and marketed by Finnair. These flights will be operated by Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 aircraft and the onboard service will be based on the Finnair dual-class service concept.

Finnair says that these flight schedules will offer passengers easy connections to Finnair’s European network, as well as Finnair’s extensive connections to Asia and the United States.

Meanwhile, Finnair recently announced that it will fly to nearly 100 destinations in Summer 2022 and will add Busan, Tokyo Haneda and Dallas to its network.
