Singapore Airlines cut capacity by 96%, only 9 aircraft flying in the fleet

Currently as we are seeing unprecedented impact on aviation industry, multiple airlines are suspending operations. Singapore airlines is no different.

Singapore airlines is cutting it’s current passenger operations by 96%. It is currently having a fleet of 147 aircraft of which 138 are grounded due to low demand amid coronavirus.

This is the result of Singapore government’s decision to ban all transiting passengers for the next few days. Singapore airlines is already feeling the effect of coronavirus pandemic for the last two months.

Unfortunately, it seems like the aviation industry right now is getting worse and worse amid coronavirus. Hope it will get better in the coming days.
