Vistara Airlines announces flights from Mumbai to Male

Vistara has announced flights between Mumbai and Male under air travel bubble agreement signed between Mumbai and Maldives.

With Maldives emerging as a strong tourist destination Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has announced special flights between Mumbai and Male, the capital of Maldives, that will begin from 3rd March,2021.

The flight will run 3-times-a-week on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The airline will use a Airbus A320neo for this route, making Vistara the only airline on this route to offer travellers the choice of Premium Economy Class and Business Class. Currently, Indigo and GoAir offer flights between the two cities but both of them have only Economy Class.

said Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer, Vistara.

“Vistara will accept all eligible customers meeting visa/entry requirements in both countries, as specified by the respective government bodies. All tourist establishments in the Maldives have been regulated to ensure that they are in line with the Covid-19 safe tourism guidelines issued by the Maldivian Ministry of Tourism along with a certification program to uphold high standards of safety and hygiene.”

said a spokesperson from Vistara to Hindustan Times.

The round trip all-inclusive fares start from INR 17,699 for Mumbai-Male-Mumbai and round-trip all-inclusive fares for Malé-Mumbai-Malé start at MVR 3,499.

Vistara stated that bookings for these flights are now open on all channels including the website, Vistara’s iOS and Android mobile apps, through Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and travel agents.

Recently, Vistara began flights to Sharjah.
