Japan Airlines announces flights to Moscow

Japan Airlines has announced flights from Tokyo Haneda to Moscow Sheremetyevo in Russia.

The Japanese airline was supposed to launch flights between the two cities in March 2020 but the plans were modified owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Japan Airlines had previously been making trips from Tokyo to Moscow Domodedovo before the pandemic. The airport switch to Sheremetyevo ( Moscow has 5 airports) was supposed to happen on 29th March,2020.

  • Flight time- 9 hours and 20 minutes

The flights will operate once-a-week and Aeroflot will code-share on the route. The service will begin on 22nd April,2021 and a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will be deployed on the route.

JAL also resumed San Diego service

The carrier also resumed services to San Diego in the United States yesterday. This route was dropped last April, also due to the global health crisis. However, this time, the schedule is a little bit different. JAL will operate flights between the Tokyo and San Diego 3-times-a-week rather than the initial daily service.
