Singapore Airlines has partnered with Collinson for pre-departure tests in the United Kingdom, meaning customers departing the UK can now access a dedicated online booking portal for COVID-19 tests, as part of an expanding partnership with Collinson.
COVID-19 PCR tests can be booked for £99 at London Heathrow, Manchester, London Luton, London Stansted, London City and East Midlands airport as well as the O2 arena. The customers will get their results in 36 hours.
The link to the portal is available on SIA’s website and app, as well as being included in booking confirmations and pre-departure emails.
Note: The customers who are booking their tickets through travel agency partners will need to book their test independently, for which the link is here.
Singapore Airlines said that “customers will receive their test results through the same secure portal, which will then generate a digital certificate and a QR code that is to be presented to airport staff upon check-in”. There is also the option to print out results to present to airport staff.
Mohamed Rafi MAR, General Manager UK and Ireland, Singapore Airlines, said:
Expanding the one-stop pre-departure testing portal to our UK based customers is part of our ongoing efforts to provide passengers with a vital service during this time. By housing all necessary pre-departure information on one platform, our passengers can enjoy a much more streamlined and seamless booking and pre-flight experience with Singapore Airlines.
Singapore Airlines and Collinson first launched the partnership in January, initially on outbound departures from Singapore, as well as flights from Jakarta and Medan to the city-state, with Hong Kong since having been added.
Last week, Collinson became the first private provider to offer the mandatory COVID-19 tests currently required for all arrivals into the UK.
This means that travellers can now opt to take the first of their two required RT-PCR tests as soon as they arrive into London Heathrow, Manchester, London Luton, London Stansted, London City or East Midlands airport.
