Frontier Airlines has announced a total of 13 new routes in just 2 days – with the first eight being announced on Tuesday and the other five on Wednesday.
All the first eight of Frontier’s latest routes will launch in June or July and are currently planned as seasonal offerings that will run into early or mid-fall.

Six new routes from Atlanta
From Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, the american Ultra Low-Cost Carrier will add six routes to its existing schedule, giving the carrier a total of 22 nonstop destinations from the city.
From Atlanta:
- Phoenix – starts from 10th June – thrice-weekly
- Cleveland – starts from 11th June – 4-times-a-week
- Dallas/Fort Worth – starts from 11th June – 4-times-a-week
- Hartford – starts from 11th June – 4-times-a-week
- Providence – starts from 12th July – thrice-weekly
- Portland – starts from 13th July – 4-times-a-week
From Philadelphia:
- Providence – starts from 12th July – thrice-weekly
- Portland – starts from 13th July – 4-times-a-week

Expanding services to outdoor destinations
Portland and Providence are two destinations that Frontier will be focusing as outdoor destinations. Portland is near popular outdoor destinations along Maine’s coast. Similarly, Providence is one of the gateway airports for Cape Cod in neighboring Massachusetts as well as for other destinations in New England.
From Providence:
- Philadelphia – starts from 12th July – thrice-weekly
- Atlanta – starts from 13th July – 4-times-a-week
From Portland:
- Philadelphia – starts from 12th July – thrice-weekly
- Atlanta – starts from 13th July – 4-times-a-week
The airline on Wednesday announced five another new routes, all of them to leisure-oriented destinations that have been in high demand during the pandemic. The expansion also includes one new city that will be added to Frontier’s map: Rochester, New York.

Three of the five routes are to Myrtle Beach, the South Carolina resort town known for beaches and golfing. Southwest recently announced 10 new routes from Myrtle Beach.
From Myrtle Beach:
- Providence – starts from 10th June – twice-weekly
- Buffalo – starts from 11th June – twice-weekly
- Portland – starts from 12th June – once-a-week
From Orlando:
- Rochester – starts from 20th May – thrice-weekly
From Montego Bay, Jamaica:
- Miami – starts from 28th May – thrice-weekly

The Rochester-Orlando route is slated to operate year-round, while the others are seasonal for the summer schedule.
All the US carriers are focusing on leisure routes as travellers are eager to get out of their homes and go on a holiday while practising social distancing.
