IHG to bring its premium brand, voco to Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) Hotels and Resorts, has signed voco Dubai Palm Jumeirah, in line with the hospitality chain’s strategy to continue its expansion in the United Arab Emirates.

IHG has signed a management agreement with ASRE Limited to introduce its premium brand, voco into Dubai’s exquisite destination, Palm Jumeirah. Palm Jumeirah is a manmade island built on reclaimed land resembling a stylised palm tree if viewed from above.

voco Dubai Palm Jumeirah will be a part of a trendy, newly launched area called ‘Palm West Beach’ developed by Nakheel, comprising of strong dining concepts and a promenade along the beach. The hotel will consist of 141 guest rooms and will open its doors to guests in December 2021.

voco Dubai Palm Jumeirah will display a bold identity and will feature vibrant guest rooms. The hotel will also feature a 55sqm meeting room, a gym, pool, and spa, to cater to the demands of both leisure and business travellers. The hotel, in order to offer its guests a tasteful experience that reflects its strategic F&B location, will have four different dining options.

The new hotel joins the voco family in Dubai, with voco Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road and the soon to open voco Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers Dubai.

According to IHG, the voco brand is strongly suited for conversion as well as new-build opportunities. Additionally, the properties that have made the transition to voco continue to perform strongly and have recorded higher guest satisfaction following conversion, according to IHG. voco Dubai Palm Jumeirah will join the voco brand family in the MEA region with a portfolio of four operating hotels and five in the pipeline.

IHG recently announced signing of 3 new hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya and also recently signed a new Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.

Meanwhile, Marriott’s luxury brand St. Regis Hotels and Resorts opened its first property on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island.
