SpiceJet announces 42 new domestic and international flights

Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet has announced that it will launch 42 new domestic and international flights, scheduled to commence operations between 10th July and 30th July 2021.

New Domestic flights

India’s second largest low-cost carrier will launch brand-new flights between Surat and Jabalpur & Surat and Pune. Additionally, Surat will also get connected with the big metros of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Jaipur by SpiceJet flights.

SpiceJet will also launch nonstop return flights on Gwalior-Mumbai, Gwalior-Ahmedabad and Gwalior-Pune routes. Besides, for the first time on its network, it will launch flights on Kolkata-Patna, Patna-Kolkata, Patna-Surat, Surat-Patna, Udaipur-Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad-Udaipur, Bengaluru-Kochi and Kochi-Bengaluru routes.

Furthermore, the carrier has announced additional daily nonstop frequencies on the following routes:

  • Delhi-Leh (second frequency)
  • Leh-Delhi (second frequency)
  • Jaipur-Ahmedabad (second frequency)
  • Ahmedabad-Jaipur (second frequency)

SpiceJet will also enhance operations with additional frequencies on following routes:

  • Delhi-Srinagar (fourth frequency)
  • Srinagar-Delhi (fourth frequency)
  • Kolkata-Chennai (second frequency)
  • Chennai-Kolkata (second frequency)
  • Ahmedabad-Pune (second frequency)
  • Pune-Ahmedabad (second frequency)
  • Patna-Bengaluru (second frequency)
  • Bengaluru-Patna (second frequency)

New international flights to Maldives

On the international front, SpiceJet has announced two new routes to Maldives under the air travel bubble agreement signed between India and the Maldives. This comes after Maldives announced that it will once again welcome Indian travellers from 15th July 2021.

Starting 22nd July 2021, SpiceJet will operate flights between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Male’s Velana International Airport. The flight schedule is:

  • Mumbai-Male
  • Departure time: 11:05
  • Arrival time: 13:20
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 45 minutes
  • Flight number: SG93
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Male-Mumbai
  • Departure time: 14:35
  • Arrival time: 17:50
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 45 minutes
  • Flight number: SG94
  • Frequency: Daily

As of 30th July 2021, the airline will operate 6-weekly flights between Cochin (Kochi) International Airport and Male’s Velana International Airport. The schedule for this flight is:

  • Kochi-Male
  • Departure time: 11:35
  • Arrival time: 13:55
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 50 minutes
  • Flight number: SG91
  • Frequency: All days except Tuesdays
  • Male-Kochi
  • Departure time: 14:45
  • Arrival time: 17:05
  • Flight time: 1 hour and 50 minutes
  • Flight number: SG92
  • Frequency: All days except Tuesdays

SpiceJet will deploy a mix of Boeing B737 and Bombardier Dash-8 aircrafts on these new flights.

As travel demand picks up and leisure travellers step out for those much-awaited short breaks, we are ensuring that multiple convenient flight options are available to some of the most sought-after holiday destinations like Male. We see a great opportunity in connecting unserved markets to more cities with direct flights on our network. Passengers will now be able to conveniently travel between key metros which will benefit both business and leisure travellers alike. We will continue to introduce more flights which will give our passengers ample options to travel easily and seamlessly across cities.

Bookings for these new flights are now open on SpiceJet’s website, mobile app and through online travel portals and travel agents.

Meanwhile, the airline recently launched flights between Hyderabad and Kochi & between Hyderabad and Guwahati and Visakhapatnam.
