flydubai announces flights to Salzburg and Naples

Dubai-based carrier flydubai has announced flights to Salzburg in Austria and resumption of flights to Naples in Italy. The carrier had announced flights to Naples from 1st July 2021 but has since decided to postpone the route.

Naples

Starting 31st July 2021, flydubai will once again fly 4-times-a-week between Dubai International Airport and Naples International Airport. The schedule for the flights is:

  • Dubai-Naples
  • Departure time: 09:00
  • Arrival time: 13:10
  • Flight time: 6 hours and 10 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1681
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Naples-Dubai
  • Departure time: 14:00
  • Arrival time: 21:40
  • Flight time: 5 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1682
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays

Flights to Naples will be operated within the quarantine-free travel corridor that has recently been established between Italy and the UAE enabling passengers to travel between the two countries with less restrictions. Passengers need to present a negative COVID-19 test result at check-in taken no more than 48 hours before departure from the UAE. On arrival in Italy, all passengers over the age of two years will be required to take a rapid antigen test.

Salzburg

As of 15th July 2021, flydubai will operate 4-weekly flights between Dubai International Airport and Salzburg Airport. The flights will be operated with the following schedule:

  • Dubai-Salzburg
  • Departure time: 16:20
  • Arrival time: 20:50
  • Flight time: 6 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1779
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Salzburg-Dubai
  • Departure time: 21:50
  • Arrival time: 06:05 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 6 hours and 15 minutes
  • Flight number: FZ1780
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays

Both the routes will be operated by flydubai’s Boeing B737MAX and Emirates will codeshare on both the routes.

We are excited to connect Salzburg to the UAE with direct airlinks for the first time which will also offer passengers from the neighbouring region a more comfortable and convenient travel option. We continue to grow our operations in Europe and with the resumption of flights to Naples flydubai is able to offer greater choice this summer. We are seeing steady growth in passenger traffic as more countries ease travel restrictions. We will continue to grow our network in the months ahead.

flydubai’s B737MAX

flydubai’s Boeing B737MAX features 10 lie-flat business class seats in a staggered configuration of 2-2 in rows one and three, and ‘throne seats’ in row two in a 1-1 layout. Behind the business class cabin, there is the usual economy class cabin with 162 seats in a 3-3 layout.

Meanwhile, flydubai recently announced two brand-new routes Budapest and Ljubljana and also new flights to Santorini, Mykonos and Sharm-El-Sheikh.
