Indian low cost carrier SpiceJet is expanding aggressively.
Just a few days ago, IH Aviation And Travel had reported that the airline is adding Bhavnagar, Gujarat to its network. After adding nonstop flights to Mumbai and Delhi from the city, the airline has announced nonstop flights to Surat.
Flights between Surat and Bhavnagar will be operated 3-times-a-week using Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 aircraft featuring 78 economy class seats. The flights will run with the following schedule:
- Surat-Bhavnagar
- Departure time: 13:35
- Arrival time: 14:20
- Flight time: 45 minutes
- Flight number: SG3422
- Frequency: Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
- Bhavnagar-Surat
- Departure time: 14:40
- Arrival time: 15:25
- Flight time: 45 minutes
- Flight number: SG3423
- Frequency: Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
Additionally, the carrier will start 10 more domestic flights across India. This includes the launch of Delhi-Belagavi-Delhi route that IH Aviation and Travel has reported earlier.
SpiceJet will operate flights between Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru (starting 5th August 2021), Mumbai and Kishangarh (Ajmer) & Gwalior and Jaipur. The airline will add a fourth frequency between Delhi and Jammu (starting 13th August 2021).

These routes will be operated by a mix of Boeing B737 and Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 aircraft.
Meanwhile, SpiceJet recently announced 42 new domestic and international flights including flights to Maldives as the country is now welcoming travellers from India. The airline has also announced flights from Hyderabad to Kochi; from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam and Guwahati and between Belagavi and Delhi. SpiceJet has launched nonstop flights between Rajkot and Goa, becoming the first airline to operate the route. The carrier has also launched flights between Mumbai and Amritsar.
