Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off East Africa. The country is best known for its powdery white-sand beaches that rank among the most beautiful beaches in the world that are backed by jungle-covered hills and large rocky boulders. Seychelles, one of the world’s smallest countries, is composed of two main island groups: the Mahé group of more than 40 central, mountainous granitic islands and a second group of more than 70 outer, flat, coralline islands. In the last decade or so, many luxurious hotels have opened up on these islands, some of them managed by giant hospitality chains like Marriott and Hilton while some of them managed by world’s most luxurious brands like Four Seasons and Six Senses.
