We are excited to offer an alternative and affordable travel option for the short flight to the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is an appealing destination given its proximity to the UAE, welcoming people and wealth of history and culture – we are confident that Bahrain will be a welcome addition to our flight roster.

Bahrain has been added to Abu Dhabi’s Green list since 31st July 2021. The latest update to the Green List allows travel from 31 countries, with eight new countries (including Bahrain) added this time around.

Vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers from Green List countries are exempt from quarantine upon arrival in Abu Dhabi. Vaccinated travellers will need an additional RT-PCR test on day six, while unvaccinated travelers will need RT-PCR tests on day six and day twelve.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has been growing rapidly since it started its operations in January 2021. The airline will fly to 32 destinations after it launches flights to Bahrain next month.

The carrier announced four additional routes in June, which includes three destinations in Greece (Chania, Mykonos and Rhodes). Last week, the airline added Tirana and Sarajevo to its network. Flights to Tirana will commence on 11th September, while Sarajevo flights will begin on 3rd October.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air has postponed the launch of Cardiff base until Summer 2022.
