Delta Airlines, one of the “Big Three” Airlines (United, Delta and American) has announced the addition of Stockholm, Sweden to its network.
Starting 1st June 2022, Delta Airlines will once again operate flights to Stockholm Arlanda Airport from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The route will be Delta’s return to Stockholm and will run through the fall season. The airline last operated flights to Stockholm in 2017.
The flights will run with the following schedule:
- New York-Stockholm
- Departure time: 19:30
- Arrival time: 09:30 (the next day)
- Flight time: 8 hours
- Flight number: DL204
- Frequency: Daily
- Stockholm-New York
- Departure time: 11:30
- Arrival time: 14:10
- Flight time: 8 hours and 40 minutes
- Flight number: DL205
- Frequency: Daily

These flights will be operated by a Boeing B767-300ER featuring 216 seats in 3 cabin classes. These aircraft feature 26 lie-flat seats in Delta One business class in a 1-2-1 configuration. Following this are 18 Premium Economy Class seats, sold as “Premium Select”. These seats are laid out in 2-2-2 configuration and is similar to a recliner-style domestic first class seat.
Following this, there are 21 extra-legroom Economy Class seats and 151 standard Economy Class seats. Both are in a 2-3-2 configuration. All passengers will have access to on-demand entertainment via seatback screens. WiFi and both USB and power outlets are also available for all passengers.
Delta Airlines said:
We’re focused on bringing back the routes and destinations our customers love. Customers planning next summer’s European vacation will discover more routes, premium seats and destinations in 2022. This will include daily service to Stockholm from New York-JFK starting June 1, 2022 with Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
Recently, German low cost carrier Eurowings announced that it open a new base in Stockholm in March 2022.
