Middle eastern carrier Etihad Airways has announced a new flight to Nice, France. The carrier will begin flights to the French city in June 2022.
New flights to Nice
Starting 15th June 2022, Etihad Airways will operate 2-flights-a-week between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport via Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. The service will be an extension of Etihad’s EY83 service to Rome. The flights will operate with the following schedule:
- Abu Dhabi-Rome
- Departure time: 03:00
- Arrival time: 07:10
- Flight time: 6 hours and 10 minutes
- Flight number: EY83
- Frequency: Wednesdays and Sundays
- Rome-Nice
- Departure time: 08:40
- Arrival time: 09:55
- Flight time: 1 hour and 15 minutes
- Flight number: EY83
- Frequency: Wednesdays and Sundays
- Nice-Abu Dhabi
- Departure time: 11:25
- Arrival time: 07:35
- Flight time: 6 hours and 10 minutes
- Flight number: EY83
- Frequency: Wednesdays and Sundays
The return flight to Abu Dhabi from Nice will be a nonstop service. Note that EY83 service to Rome will be a extra service in addition to EY85.
Flights will be operated by Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner featuring Business Class and Economy Class seats.

Situated on the southeastern coast of France, Nice is renowned for its famous waterfront, with a scenic seven-kilometre walkway known as the ‘Promenade des Anglais’. The city was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021.
Nice is the fifth summer route to be announced by Etihad Airways for 2022 after Crete, Malaga, Santorini and Zanzibar, all set to to launch in mid-June.
The airline’s new routes for summer 2022 include:
- Crete: 2-flights-a-week operated by Airbus A320s starting 15th June 2022
- Malaga: 2-flights-a-week operated by Boeing B787 Dreamliner starting 15th June 2022
- Nice: 2-flights-a-week operated by Boeing B787 Dreamliner starting 15th June 2022
- Santorini: 3-flights-a-week operated by Boeing B787 Dreamliner starting 16th June 2022
- Zanzibar: 3-flights-a-week operated by Boeing B787 Dreamliner starting 17th June 2022
Meanwhile, Etihad Airways recently resumed flights to Medina, Saudi Arabia.
