Emirates has announced that it will re-instate pre pandemic flight frequencies to India from April 2022.
Starting 1st April 2022, Emirates will once-again operate the same number of flights to India as it did prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Dubai-based airline will be operating 170 weekly flights to 9 cities in India. The move comes on the back of the decision by the government of India to restore international flights to and from the country in line with established bilateral agreements from 27th March 2022.
Emirates will be operating the following flights:
- Mumbai: 35-flights-a-week
- Delhi: 28-flights-a-week
- Bengaluru: 24-flights-a-week
- Chennai: 21-flights-a-week
- Hyderabad: 21-flights-a-week
- Kochi: 14-flights-a-week
- Kolkata: 11-flights-a-week
- Ahmedabad: 9-flights-a-week
- Thiruvananthapuram: 7-flights-a-week

As of 15th March 2022, Emirates has been operating its iconic Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft to Mumbai on its EK500/EK501 service. The airline will continue to operate the A380 on this service in the summer schedule 2022. All the rest of the flights to India will be operated by the airline’s Boeing B777 fleet.
Passengers travelling in First and Business Class with Emirates from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi can avail complimentary chauffeur drive service to the airport and on arrival at select locations within the airline’s network. Passengers travelling in premium cabins and Emirates Skywards members in select membership tiers will also have access to Emirates’ exclusive lounge experience in Dubai and select airports around the world.
Emirates was the largest foreign airline to India pre-pandemic and will continue to be the largest foreign airline now also.
Meanwhile, Emirates recently set 23rd June 2022 as the launch date for its Tel Aviv flights.
