Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced that it will open a SeleQtions hotel in Rajkot, Gujarat. This marks the debut of IHCL group in the city.
The hotel will feature 120 guest rooms and will be situated in the city centre on Yagnik Road, a convenient and central location from all parts of this growing city. It will house an all-day diner, speciality restaurants and a lobby lounge with a deli. The hotel will offer 750 square meter of banqueting space along with small meetings rooms. Other recreation facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre and a salon. This is a conversion signing and an existing hotel will be rebranded after extensive renovations.
In line with IHCL’s vision to establishing a strong foothold in Gujarat, the SeleQtions hotel at Rajkot is yet another addition to the company’s portfolio in the state. The arrival of IHCL in the city signals the confidence of the group in the market. Currently, the only recognised brand in the city is ITC Hotels which has a Fortune branded hotel in the city. Fortune will have a fresh new competition from one of the largest hospitality groups in India.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 20 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands across Gujarat including 4 under development.
Meanwhile, IHCL recently announced the opening of Sawai Man Mahal, Jaipur.
