These flights will be operated by Boeing B777-300ER aircraft featuring First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. Emirates says that it is introducing this temporary frequency to meet market demand during the busy winter season.
The Dubai-based airline currently operates six daily flights to London Heathrow. All of them are operated by the airline’s flagship aircraft, Airbus A380. This means that the airline will now offer 41-weekly flights to London Heathrow in the winter season.
The introduction of these 5-weekly flights has been enabled as Emirates has leased 5-weekly arrival and departure slots from Cathay Pacific.
Emirates has continued to expand its services in the United Kingdom since it resumed flying after the pandemic. The carrier has restored A380 service to Birmingham and Glasgow, double daily services to Stansted, and enhanced services to Newcastle and London Gatwick.
The airline currently serves the UK with 126 weekly flights including: six times daily A380 service to London Heathrow; three times daily A380 service to Gatwick; twice daily service to Stansted; three times daily A380 service to Manchester; double daily service to Birmingham (including a daily A380 service); daily service to Newcastle; and a daily A380 service to Glasgow.
