Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced a dual hotel signing in Punjab. This will see the debut of Crowne Plaza brand in Punjab.
IHG has announced the signing of two new hotels in the Chandigarh tri-city area – Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur in the premium segment and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur from the essentials collection. Currently under construction, both hotels are scheduled to open in January 2027.
The two hotels will together add over 350 rooms to IHG’s portfolio in Punjab. These hotels will complement Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula and Holiday Inn Chandigarh Zirakpur. Forming a cluster in Zirakpur, the new hotels will be strategically located adjacent to National Highway 22, one of the busiest highways in India.
Once opened, both Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur will be positioned amongst the large banqueting facilities, with approximately 100,000 sq ft of meeting space, poised to meet the high demand for weddings, conferences, and events from Zirakpur, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Dera Bassi. Situated in close proximity to Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand, the hotels will tap into guests seeking ideal stopovers for travelers on leisure trips.

Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur
Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur will feature 150 guest rooms and suites and four F&B outlets including an all-day dining, specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge and bar. Additionally, the hotel will also include meeting spaces across 9 venues including a ballroom for special events. Other facilities to relax and unwind will include a Club Lounge, a Swimming Pool, Fitness Centre, Spa and Retail.
Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur
Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur will feature 200 guest rooms and suites along with three Food&Beverage outlets including an all-day dining, bar, and a lobby lounge. To cater to MICE demands, the hotel will be equipped with 3 meeting rooms including a ballroom. The property will also feature a pool and a fitness centre.
