Wyndham has announced the signing of a sprawling property near Udaipur’s Fateh Sagar Lake.
Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fateh Sagar Lake will be situated near the iconic Fateh Sagar Lake, one of the many lakes in Udaipur, which the city is known for. The property will be spread across 9.5-acres and will house 140 luxury guest rooms, including private pool villas and shaded pools.
In addition to the luxurious accommodations, the resort will boast of large banqueting spaces, diverse dining options, a fitness centre and a spa.

Wyndham says that the resort’s “strategic location surrounded by the picturesque Fateh Sagar Lake will enhance the allure of this exceptional establishment”. It adds that the hotel will create over 200 job opportunities, contributing to the local economy.
Udaipur is one of the hottest hospitality markets in the country. The city is famous for leisure travel as well as destination weddings. Hospitality groups are focusing on having more event spaces in newer resorts to cater for the increased demand for such events.
ITC, which was absent from the market for a long time, opened Mementos by ITC Hotels Ekaaya Udaipur a few months ago. Accor’s Raffles near Udai Sagar Lake continues to attract hotel lovers, even competing with the likes of Oberoi Udaivilas, Leela Palace and the Taj Lake Palace.
The City of Lakes has a strong pipeline of luxury hotels, including a JW Marriott, a Hyatt Regency and a Fairmont. Wyndham Grand Fateh Sagar Lake is now added to this list of exciting resorts soon to open in Udaipur.
