Earlier, for Economy Comfort fares, Air India had reduced the allowance from 25 to 20 kilograms. This new allowance is a further reduction of 5-10 kilograms depending on the fare class booked. Also, the new 15-kilograms allowance is for both Economy Comfort as well as Economy Comfort Plus fares. Premium Economy Comfort fares also allow only 15 kilograms while Flexi fares allow 15 kilograms.

What’s good is that Air India will allow multiple pieces of baggage per passenger unlike IndiGo which allows only one piece of baggage per passenger.
