Air India has announced that it will start deploying A350s on flights between Delhi and London Heathrow.
A350 to London
Starting 1st September 2024, Air India will operate 14- of 17-weekly flights between Delhi and London Heathrow using Airbus A350-900s. Specifically, flights AI111/112 and AI161/162 will be the ones getting A350s. The A350s will replace Boeing B777-300ERs on this route.The remaining thrice-a-week flights will continue to be operated by Boeing B787-8s Dreamliners.

Air India’s A350 features 28 lie-flat Business Class suites in a 1-2-1 configuration, 24 Premium Economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration and 264 standard Economy Class seats in a 3-4-3 layout.
With our industry-leading cabin products on the A350 including a new Premium Economy experience and a host of new on board enhancements rolling out, we are confident that these daily flights between India and London Heathrow will soon be the preferred choice for travellers.
Wilson added.
A350s replacing B777s will mean that there will be 336 additional seats each week on the Delhi-London route. It also means that 90% of Air India flights to London Heathrow will now be operated using upgraded aircraft.
Presently, Air India deploys its six A350s on some domestic flights covering major Indian cities and on Delhi-Dubai route.
