Korean Air has unveiled new Prestige Class (Business Class) seats. These new seats can be found on the airline’s new B787-10 Dreamliners.
New Prestige Class seats
The new Prestige Class seats, “Prestige Suites 2.0”, can be found on Korean Air’s new B787-10s right now. The design features traditional Korean patterns, including “Jogakbo” patchwork, to showcase Korea’s cultural beauty. The interior features a cream color inspired by Joseon Dynasty porcelain and a gold hue reminiscent of brassware, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Shades of charcoal and black with a blue tint add a sense of stability.
The carrier says that each seat functions as a virtually independent space, with an open top that “enhances a sense of openness while maintaining a level of privacy”. The seat length has been extended to 78 inches (about 198 cm), with a seat pitch of 46 inches (117 cm) and a seat width of 21 inches (53 cm).

Next to the armrest, there is a table for cups and small personal items, a personal storage compartment, a wireless phone charger, dual 220V/110V outlets, and two high-speed USB-C ports.
The Prestige Class seats feature a 24-inch 4K inflight entertainment screen with Bluetooth audio support.
Economy Class
The economy class features seats in a 3-3-3 configuration with vibrant woven patterns of bold colors, creating a distinctive and lively atmosphere. The seats offer a recline of up to 120 degrees with headrests adjustable in multiple directions for optimal comfort. The seat pitch is 32 inches (81 cm), and the seat width is 17.2 inches (44 cm).

Economy seats feature 13-inch 4K inflight entertainment screen with Bluetooth audio support, approximately 2 inches larger than those on other models.
Korean Air B787-10s
The B787-10 is the largest variant of the B787 Dreamliner series. Its fuselage spans 68.3 meters, making it approximately five meters longer than the B787-9. This increased length enables the B787-10 to carry 15% more passengers and cargo.
The B787-10 aircraft features key components manufactured by Korean Air’s Aerospace Division in Busan, such as the aft body, raked wing tips, and flap support fairings. Korean Air has been contributing as a major partner in Boeing’s B787 program since 2006, and has actively participated in the design and production of the B787 aircraft.

Korean Air’s B787-10 is configured with a total of 325 seats, including 36 Prestige Class seats and 289 economy class seats. The aircraft will first be deployed on flights between Seoul Incheon and Tokyo Narita starting 25th July 2024.
After crew familiarisation flights to Tokyo Narita, the B787-10s will be deployed on flights to Vancouver. Afterwards, the airline intends to deploy the B787-10 on other “high-demand routes, including those to the western United States and Europe”.
