Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced that it will end its Houston service, in addition to adjusting capacity on many routes.
Houston service ends
As of 1st April 2025, Singapore Airlines will no longer serve Houston (IAH). Until now, the airline has served Houston with flights from Manchester (MAN), England with the following routing: Singapore-Manchester-Houston-Manchester-Singapore.
The airline will continue to fly to Manchester five-times-a-week. SIA operates the route with Airbus A350-900s.
Other changes
SIA has announced changes to its network for the Northern Summer Season 2025, which will last from 30th March 2025 to 25th October 2025.
From 30th March 2025, SIA will increase flights to London Gatwick (LGW) to daily, up from the current 5-weekly flights. Together with its four-times daily flights to London Heathrow (LHR), this will give the airline five daily services to the United Kingdom’s capital.
In Europe, the Singaporean flag carrier will increase services to Rome (FCO) to five-flights-a-week from 26th June 2025 to 28th August 2025, up from the current four-weekly flights. SIA will delink its three-times weekly Singapore (SIN)-Milan (MXP)-Barcelona (BCN) flights from 24th June 2025 to 7th September 2025, and operate more direct flights between Singapore and the two European cities. The carrier will mount five-weekly nonstop flights to Barcelona (BCN) during this period, up from the current two-weekly flights. Milan (MXP) will have a daily service, up from four-times weekly service currently.
In India, the airline will stop operating the Airbus A380 to Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL) for a brief period. This is done every year for a brief period to adjust capacity. Mumbai will not receive SIA A380 from 28th July 2025 to 31st August 2025 while Delhi won’t receive SIA A380 from 23rd June 2025 to 27th July 2025. Both these services will instead be operated by Boeing B777-300ER.
Singapore Airlines regularly reviews our network and routes to align our capacity with demand. These adjustments, ahead of next summer, cater to the higher demand to several destinations, particularly during the traditional mid-year peak travel season, enabling our customers to confidently make their 2025 travel plans. We look forward to connecting our customers to the world with SIA’s extensive network, and delivering an unparalleled travel experience.
