Indian luxury hospitality group – The Oberoi Group – which comprises of the luxury “Oberoi” brand and the five-star “Trident” brand has announced plans to open around 20 new hotels worldwide in the next five years. Read on to know more.
India
The Oberoi Group plans to open 10 new hotels in India in the coming years, out of which seven will be under the Oberoi brand and the remaining three under the Trident brand. The seven new Oberoi Hotels are:
- The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, Khajuraho
-Spread across 60 acres atop the Maniyagarh Hills
-Located minutes from Panna National Park & Tiger Reserve and close to the UNESCO-recognized Khajuraho temples
-66 rooms including 18 suites
-Lakeside Dining, a Spa accessible by boat and an infinity pool
-Opening in September 2025 - The Oberoi, Rishikesh
-Spread across 60 acres (including a Trident Resort next door)
-270 degree views of The Ganges
-80 rooms
-Opening in 1st quarter of 2029 - The Oberoi Wildlife Resort, Jawai
-Spread across 14 acres
-15 rooms
-Opening in 2nd quarter of 2028 - The Oberoi, Gandikota
-Spread across 50 acres
-20 rooms
-Opening in 4th quarter of 2029 - The Oberoi Hebbal, Bengaluru
-Spread across 9 acres (mixed-use development)
-120 rooms
-Opening in 2nd quarter of 2029 - The Oberoi Cavelossim, Goa
-Spread across 52 acres
-90 rooms
-Opening in 4th quarter of 2028 - The Oberoi Bogmalo, Goa (details unknown)
There were also plans for a “Vilas” property in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex but there was no mention of it in the announcement. The three Trident Hotels are:
- The Trident, Rishikesh
-Spread over 60 acres (including a Oberoi Resort next door)
-120 rooms - The Trident, Vishakhapatnam
- The Trident, Tirupati

-Located in the historic Georgian building in Mayfair

-Opening in the second quarter of 2028 - The Oberoi Wadi Safar & Residences, Riyadh
-Located in Wadi Safar, a scenic valley near Riyadh
-Spread across 37 acres
-60 rooms and 10 residences
-Opening in 4th quarter of 2026 - The Oberoi Kathmandu, Nepal
-Garden-style architecture, located close to Swayambhunath Stupa
-Spread across 5 acres
-75 rooms
-Opening in 4th quarter of 2027 - The Oberoi Bardiya, Nepal
-Spread across 102 acres
-22 rooms
-Opening in 4th quarter of 2026 - The Oberoi Paro, Bhutan
-Nestled close to the sacred Drukgyel Dzong
-Spread across 7 acres
