SpiceJet to launch five new flights from Guwahati

SpiceJet today announced that it will launch five new flights from Guwahati to cities across India.

Bengaluru

Starting 20th August 2021, SpiceJet will operate 4-weekly flights between Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport and Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. The airline will operate these flights with the following schedule:

  • Bengaluru-Guwahati
  • Departure time: 05:10
  • Arrival time: 08:20
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 10 minutes
  • Flight number: SG327
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  • Guwahati-Bengaluru
  • Departure time: 08:55
  • Arrival time: 12:00
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 05 minutes
  • Flight number: SG328
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays

SpiceJet will compete with Indigo, Vistara, Air Asia India and GoFirst on this route.

Varanasi

As of 21st August 2021, the low-cost carrier will operate daily flights between Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. The same aircraft will continue then to Dehradun after arriving in Varanasi, meaning that it will fly on the Guwahati-Varanasi-Dehradun-Varanasi-Guwahati route. The airline will enjoy a monopoly on this route. The schedules for these flights are:

  • Guwahati-Varanasi
  • Departure time: 11:55
  • Arrival time: 14:10
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 15 minutes
  • Flight number: SG3790
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Varanasi-Dehradun
  • Departure time: 14:40
  • Arrival time: 16:40

  • Flight time: 1 hour and 25 minutes

  • Arrival time: 21:00
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 05 minutes

Chennai

Starting 21st August 2021, the Delhi-based carrier will operate flights between Chennai International Airport and Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport 4-times-a-week. The flight schedule is:

  • Chennai-Guwahati
  • Departure time: 06:25
  • Arrival time: 09:25
  • Flight time: 3 hours
  • Flight number: SG203
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
  • Guwahati-Chennai
  • Departure time: 09:55
  • Arrival time: 12:55
  • Flight time: 3 hours
  • Flight number: SG204
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays

The carrier will compete with Indigo and Air Asia India on flights between this two cities.

Kolkata

Presently, SpiceJet operates a evening flight between Guwahati and Kolkata and a morning flight between Kolkata and Guwahati. However, as of 27th August 2021, the airline will operate a morning flight between Guwahati and Kolkata and a evening flight between Kolkata and Guwahati.

The schedules for these flights are:

  • Guwahati-Kolkata
  • Departure time: 07:00
  • Arrival time: 08:25
  • Flight time: 1 hour and 25 minutes
  • Flight number: SG150
  • Frequency: Daily
  • Kolkata-Guwahati
  • Departure time: 19:10
  • Arrival time: 20:30
  • Flight time: 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: SG152
  • Frequency: Daily

SpiceJet will compete with Indigo, Air India, Alliance Air, Go First, Air Asia India and Flybig on this route.

Pune

SpiceJet will operate 3-weekly flights between Pune International Airport and Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport starting 1st September 2021. It will be the only airline flying on this route. The flights will operate with the following schedule:

  • Guwahati-Pune
  • Departure time: 16:05
  • Arrival time: 19:00
  • Flight time: 2 hours and 55 minutes
  • Flight number: SG396
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Pune-Guwahati
  • Departure time: 12:10
  • Arrival time: 15:30
  • Flight time: 3 hours and 20 minutes
  • Flight number: SG395
  • Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Meanwhile, SpiceJet recently announced 42 new domestic and international flights including flights to Maldives as the country is now welcoming travellers from India. The airline has also announced flights from Hyderabad to Kochi; from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam and Guwahati and between Belagavi and Delhi. SpiceJet has launched nonstop flights between Rajkot and Goa, becoming the first airline to operate the route. The carrier has also launched flights between Mumbai and Amritsar. A few days ago, the airline announced 10 new flights including flights between Bhavnagar and Surat. SpiceJet passengers can now book airport transfers inflight on Spicescreen.
