KLM announces resumption of flights to Nigeria

Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika confirmed the news with a tweet stating that Air France and Lufthansa have also been given the go-ahead to resume flights to Nigeria.


In September, the Nigerian Government announced several retaliatory bans against eight airlines. The ban came in response to several Nigerian nationals traveling on tourist visas being denied entry into other countries amid the ongoing pandemic.

Now the ban seems to have been lifted as KLM has announced flights from Amsterdam to Nigeria from 7th December,2020.

Check the below schedule:

  • Amsterdam-Lagos
  • Departure time- 13:35
  • Arrival time- 20:15
  • Flight time- 6 hours and 40 minutes
  • Flight number- KL587
  • Lagos-Amsterdam
  • Departure time- 22:45
  • Arrival time- 5:35 (the next day)
  • Flight time- 6 hours and 50 minutes
  • Flight number- KL588

The airline will use an Airbus A330 aircraft on these flights. The flights will run everyday except Saturdays and Sundays.
