Singapore Airlines increases flights to Ahmedabad to mark 20 years of flying to the city

Singapore Airlines will soon complete 20 years of flying to Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat. To celebrate this milestone, the airline has announced an increase in frequency of flights to the city.

Singapore Airlines to Ahmedabad

Singapore Airlines commenced operations to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India on 28th July 2004. This year, it is celebrating 20 years of service to the city. To celebrate this milestone, the airline has announced that it will fly daily from 1st September 2024 instead of the current 5-weekly operations.

The airline operates flights between Singapore and Ahmedabad with the following schedule:

  • Singapore-Ahmedabad
  • Departure time: 18:35
  • Arrival time: 21:35
  • Flight time: 5 hours and 30 minutes
  • Flight number: SQ504
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (daily from 1st September 2024)

  • Ahmedabad-Singapore
  • Departure time: 22:50
  • Arrival time: 07:10 (the next day)
  • Flight time: 5 hours and 50 minutes
  • Flight number: SQ505
  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (daily from 1st September 2024)

These flights are operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring 40 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and 263 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. This is the regional variantโ€™s layout of Singapore Airlinesโ€™ A350-900 which does not feature the airlineโ€™s Premium Economy product.

The flag carrier of Singapore says that this increase in services โ€œsupports the strong demand for air travel to and from Ahmedabad and offers even more flight options for customers travelling from this Indian city to and beyond Singaporeโ€.

With effect from 1st September 2024, the airline will operate 94-weekly flights to and from eight Indian cities, namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
