Taj Hotels and Resorts, a Indian Hotels Company’s (IHCL) brand, has opened a new hotel in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India.
Taj has opened its new hotel ‘Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa’ in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. The interior of the hotel is inspired by the meandering tea terraces and aesthetically blend with nature.
The hotel is located in the Makaibari Area which is a world-renowned Tea-Estate home to the world’s first Tea factory. It is a 1 hour 30 minutes drive from central Darjeeling. The property is spread across 22 acres.
The hotel consists of 72 rooms and suites ranging from ‘Luxury Room Tea Estate View Room’ to the biggest ‘3 bedroom Private Plantation Villa King Bed’.
The hotel features 2 dining venues and a Tea Lounge. Head to The Chia Veranda, an all day diner serving international cuisine. Guests can also enjoy Bengali and Punjabi cuisine at Sonargoan or head to the Makaibari Tea Lounge to indulge in an elaborate tea tasting session.
Taj Chia Kutir Resort and Spa houses the signature Jiva Spa for those looking to rejuvenate and relax. It also offer ideal spaces for events and social gatherings. In addition to all this, the hotel houses an indoor heated swimming pool.
