Hilton has announced its plans to launch Waldorf Astoria and Canopy by Hilton hotels in the Seychelles.
Waldorf Astoria Platte Island
Waldorf Astoria Platte Island Seychelles is scheduled to open in 2023. The hotel will be located on Platte Island, about 130 kilometers south of Mahe, which is the capital of Seychelles.
The resort will have 59 seafront villas with private pools, as well as 6 restaurants and bars, a kids club, an outdoor observatory, tennis courts and a marine conservations discovery centre.
The island has a small airstrip that will allow guests to fly to this property. Hilton said that “In an effort to create and use renewable energy as part of the resort’s operation, many buildings throughout the grounds will be equipped with solar-panelled roofing”.
Platte Island is is covered with palm forests and surrounding by a coral reef and lagoon and is about a quarter of a square mile.
Canopy by Hilton Mahé
Canopy by Hilton Mahé will be located on the Mahé island’s Anse a la Mouche beach. This property is also scheduled to open in 2023. Few details have been released about the property, but Hilton said that the resort “will offer 120 locally inspired guestrooms and space to accommodate more intimate meetings and events”.
Hilton is also scheduled to debut its LXR Hotels and Resorts brand in the Seychelles, with the opening of the Mango House Seychelles on Mahé which will feature 41 sea view facing rooms and five unique dining outlets. Reservations for the same are currently being accepted from 1st July,2021 onwards.
The new properties will join the existing Hilton portfolio in Seychelles which consist of Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort and Spa, Doubletree by Hilton Seychelles – Allamanda Resort and Spa, and Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort and Spa.
