Etihad Airways launches a new travel document initiative called ‘Verified to Fly’

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has launched a new travel document initiative called ‘Verified to Fly’ for a quicker and smoother experience at the airport.

Passengers travelling on Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi are now able to use this new initiative. Passengers will be able to validate their COVID-19 travel documents before arriving at the airport. Etihad Airways states that ‘guests can arrive at the airport with confidence and with peace of mind, knowing they have met all essential requirements before their flight.’

How to use this service?

In order to use ‘Verified to Fly’ service, passengers will need to visit the Manage My Booking page on the airline’s website where they will receive further information regarding the submission of documents. Once the submission has been checked by the Verified to Fly team, passengers will receive a ‘success’ email if their documents meet government requirements. If requirements are missing or not met, the passenger will be asked to resubmit or check their documents. Passengers can also check their Verified to Fly status at any time by visiting Manage my Booking.

A dedicated Verified to Fly desk is present at the Abu Dhabi airport meaning that passengers will be able to enjoy fast track check-in as all the formalities will be completed in advance.

Verified to Fly service is now available for all passengers departing from Abu Dhabi from yesterday (12th May 2021) (excluding China) and for flights departing Amman, Beirut, Dhaka and Manila shortly thereafter. Etihad notes that future developments are in progress to introduce this service on other Etihad destinations.

Mohammad Al Bulooki, Chief Operating Officer, Etihad Aviation Group said:

As Etihad continuously looks for innovative solutions to simplify the travel experience, Verified to Fly removes any guess work from the equation and makes check-in faster. Guests have total peace of mind knowing that when they arrive at the airport, they have already met all Covid travel requirements.

Etihad Airways recently announced that passengers in Abu Dhabi can now check-in for their flight from the comfort of their homes. The airline has also started trials of IATA Travel Pass.
