Accor has announced that it has opened Novotel Cambridge, marking the brand’s debut in the city. The hotel is one of the 1st buildings completed as part of the transformation of Cambridge North into a new urban neighbourhood, with sustainability at its heart and providing a revitalised urban gateway to the city.
The hotel’s public space uses an array of natural materials in the design, paired with luxurious fabrics and warm natural earth tones, providing a calming and modern design with plenty of seating, dining and drinking areas, each with a different feel and mood.
Location
Novotel Cambridge North is located 5 minutes from the city centre, making it the ideal base to explore the buzzing city or stroll around the riverside. Attractions like Scott Polar Research Institute Museum and Botanic Gardens are nearby. The hotel is also close to the Cambridge Science Park and Cambridge Business Park, ideal for business travellers.

Novotel Cambridge North is a stylishly designed hotel that spans 6 storeys boasting 217 guest rooms and suites each offering guests a 55″ TV, super-fast Wi-Fi and a fashionably designed rain shower for a modern, chic experience. The hotel offers suites which are spacious, contemporary in design, and adaptable. From stunning Junior and Superior Suites as well as large Executive Suites for those looking for space with a touch of luxury, the Novotel room is truly a place for living, perfect for all your needs.

The Restaurant serves a range of local and international cuisine, simple yet authentic, in a casual setting. It also has special Children’s, Gluten free and Vegetarian menus. Bar offers an array of beers, wines and cocktails in stylish surroundings.

For families looking to unwind during their summer staycation or those looking to relax after a day of meetings, guests can let off some steam in the indoor pool or jacuzzi or enjoy a workout in the fully-equipped on-site gym. The hotel also has conference facilities. With a range of 5 premium meeting and event spaces accommodating 10 to 150 people, the hotel is ideal for both large conferences as well as coffee-break meetings.

The hotel joins the existing Ibis Cambridge Central Station Hotel, located on Station Square close to the city’s main rail station.
Novotel Cambridge North is one of a number of hotels set to open in the city this year, with the Graduate Cambridge (a renovation and rebranding of the former Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre) scheduled to be unveiled this summer, and the Hyatt Centric Cambridge slated to open this autumn within the University of Cambridge’s Eddington development.
