UAE-government owned flydubai has announced that it will return to Italy with flights to Naples. The announcement comes after Italian government announced some relaxations for passengers arriving from the United Arab Emirates.
Flights to Naples
Starting 1st July 2021, flydubai will operate 3-times-a-week flights between Dubai International Airport and Naples International Airport. The flight schedule is:
- Dubai-Naples
- Departure time: 07:25
- Arrival time: 12:00
- Flight time: 6 hours and 35 minutes
- Flight number: FZ1681
- Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
- Naples-Dubai
- Departure time: 13:00
- Arrival time: 20:50
- Flight time: 5 hours and 50 minutes
- Flight number: FZ1682
- Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Flights to the Italian city will be operated by a Boeing B737. Emirates will codeshare on this route.

Naples is another popular destination for the summer and a great starting point to discover the beauty of the Amalfi coast. flydubai has made these European destinations more accessible for passengers from the UAE and the GCC and we look forward to restarting our operations to Catania in the coming few weeks.
From 1st August 2021, flydubai will increase the frequency of flights to Naples to 4-times-a-week with an additional service on Sundays.
The airline recently announced flights to Mykonos and Santorini in Greece and also to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. Flights to Bodrum and Trabzon in Turkey will start from 4th and 24th June respectively. flydubai will also restart its operations to Batumi in Georgia and Tivat in Montenegro from 25th June.
Quarantine free travel
Since 2nd June 2021, passengers from UAE are able to travel quarantine free to Italy on flights to Rome/Fiumicino, Milan/Malpensa, Venice/Marco Polo, and Naples International Airport. They must provide a proof of negative RT-PCR test report conducted no more than 48 hours before departure. Once arriving in Italy, passengers over the age of two will be required to take a rapid antigen test. Once that test comes negative, travellers will be free to roam anywhere.
Emirates recently announced resumption of flights to Venice in addition to increase in frequency to Milan.
