India: Himachal Pradesh relaxes entry requirements

The government of Himachal Pradesh has eased the COVID-19 restrictions and relaxed the entry requirements of the state.

As per the latest guidelines, COVID-19 RT-PCR test is no longer required to enter the North Indian state. However, curfew would remain in place from 17:00 hours to 05:00 hours.

As per the SOPs issued by the tourism department, tourism units will operate as with strict adherence to COVID-19 safety behaviour ensured. Gymnasiums, cinema halls, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will remain closed. Intrastate movement of public transport is now allowed with 50% occupancy.

All shops and markets can remain open from 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours from Monday to Friday. However, they will remain closed on weekends.

Additionally, offices can now operate at 50% occupancy. All the medical colleges, ayurvedic colleges and dental colleges can open from 23rd June whereas pharmacy and nursing schools can also open from 28th June.
