Abu Dhabi lifts quarantine requirements for vaccinated travellers

Abu Dhabi has announced that it is easing entry requirements for fully vaccinated travellers starting this weekend.

Reopening

Starting 5th September 2021, fully vaccinated travellers arriving from all destinations will be exempt from quarantine on arrival into the UAE capital.

Additionally, unvaccinated travellers from Abu Dhabi’s ‘Green List’ destinations will also no longer be required to undergo quarantine. However, unvaccinated travellers arriving from non green-list countries will still be required to quarantine for 10 days either at home or in a hotel.

Note that the vaccines must be approved by the World Health Organisation, and travellers must register their international vaccination certificate or vaccination exemption document for verification 5 days before their travel date, via the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) Smart app or the ica.gov.ae website.

Applicants will receive an SMS confirmation, containing a link to the Alhosn app, which must be downloaded prior to travel, and which will display users’ vaccination status and RT-PCR test results, which are required to activate the Abu Dhabi Green Pass. The Green Pass is required in order to gain access to public spaces throughout Abu Dhabi.
